Northland Youth Centre Pop-Up – Monday 4th till Wednesday 6th of September, 9am till 5:30pm

Location: Between Universal & Hype DC

The Northland Youth Centre is a youth hub, run by Darebin Council, that focuses on Education and Career Pathways, Arts and Recreation, and Health and Wellbeing. Make sure to drop in to their Pop-Up Youth Hub for employment advice, tips and learn about all the services that the Northland Youth Centre has to offer. Women Returning to Work Workshop – Tuesday 5th of September, 10am til 12pm

Location: Melbourne Polytechnic Retail Centre

The Australian Centre for Career Education in partnership with Melbourne Polytechnic is holding a Women Returning to Work Workshop, designed to provide women returning to work with the skills and tools to be proactive and successful job seekers.

Topics include:

  • Self-discovery
  • Motivation and positive thinking
  • Goal setting
  • Strategies for overcoming challenges
  • Creating an Action Plan
  • Tools for proactive job seeking
  • Getting ready to embark on a new future

Resume Writing Workshop – PRACE, Wednesday 6th September, 3pm til 5pm

Location: Northland Boardroom next to Centre Management

PRACE (Preston Reservoir Adult Community Education) is a registered not-for-profit charitable organisation committed to meeting the language, literacy and numeracy, vocational training and further education needs of the local community. The resume writing workshop, conducted by Reconnect Darebin, will focus on the essentials of a winning resume. Participants will take away sample resumes and cover letters, as well as skills in how to tailor the content to match job descriptions, the do's and don't's of resume-writing and how to put your best foot forward when looking for that perfect job. Interview Skills Program – Marist 180, Monday 21st August, Monday 28th August & Monday 4th September, 4pm till 6pm

Location: Northland Boardroom next to Centre Management

Marist 180 is a not-for-profit organisation committed to empowering people with skills, knowledge, practical support and encouragement. Book in for the Marist 180 Interview Skills program to receive valuable interview advice and support over three evenings. The workshops will also cover practical interview role plays and interview Do's and Don’ts.
