Darebin Bring your Bills Day

Come along to a FREE day of information and advice from Salvation Army, Darebin Community Legal Centre, East Preston and East Reservoir Tenants Group and Darebin City Council's Customer Service.

 Salvation Army's financial counselling staff can provide information and support to people experiencing financial difficulties. Staff from Darebin City Council's Customer Service, Darebin Community Legal Centre and East Preston and East Reservoir Tenants Group will also be available.

What you should expect:

The staff above will be available to help you understand your rights, your hardship entitlements and what you can do in the face of demands to pay, including letters and legal advice on fines, financial issues, Centrelink issues, council related matters, as well as referrals to other specialised services. You can expect to receive respect, trust and compassion. You will not be judged.

What you should bring:

It will help to have any relevant papers at hand, such as outstanding electricity, gas and phone bills, demand letters, court orders, contracts, rent/mortgage amounts and bank/credit card statements.
