The partnership between the Northern Blues Football Club and Northland Shopping Centre continues to go from strength-to-strength with the third annual Schools Program.

Making a commitment together to engage with all facets of the community, the Northern Blues-Northland Schools Program commenced in 2014 and has wrapped up for another year.

Northern Blues players Carl Adams, Hisham Kerbatieh, Corey Le-Favi, Chris McCabe, Sam Peet and Angelos Sidhom ventured to a number of schools in the northern corridor.

Continuing to take place in term two of the school year, the program focuses on active living, improving social skills and encouraging participation – all of which has continued to be the aim since the program’s inception.

The players have ventured to Bell Primary, Holy Name, Preston South, Preston West, Reservoir East (pictured above) and Sacred Heart Preston, combining for over 1200 students who have undertaken the program.

As well as taking part in a skills session with Northern’s players, the kids also receive a Northland backpack and drink bottle, a junior Northern Blues membership and the opportunity to win a signed Carlton guernsey.
