Pathways to Success Seminar Wrap Up

26 Sep 2017

On the 5th September local high schools and the public were invited to Northland’s Pathways to Success seminar to help local job seeks prepare for the second annual Jobs Fair and the work force. Appearance and business dressing was also regularly brought up by the youth and so we partnered with the Northland Myer to develop a half an hour “Dressing for Success” seminar. We also partnered with the Australian Centre for Career Education who did a half an hour seminar on Job Searching and Personal Branding. Finally the last hour, inspired by our guest speaking during the year, we had a Q&A panel of four discussing their own interview & resume tips and also their own career pathways. The panel was made up of our Rebel Sports Store Manager, Woolworths Store Manager, Consolidated Cleaning Chief Commercial Officer & Vicinity Centres Talent Acquisition Officer. The response for the local high schools was extremely positive with the seminar selling out with 125 students from six local high schools.
